THE PRINT RICH HOME

How to create an environment that surrounds your child with literacy.

This is for you if...

You want your child to love reading and writing, not just be able to do it. You believe in a home that feels joyful and child-led rather than school-like. You're not sure what a print rich environment actually looks like in a real, lived-in family home. You want to be intentional about your child's literacy without adding pressure, worksheets, or structured learning time to your days.

What’s inside?

A 13-minute video lesson: The heart of the course. A real conversation about what print rich environments are, why they matter, and what this actually looks like in a real homeschool environment. Pop on some headphones and treat it like a podcast if that suits you better.

A home environment audit checklist: Walk through your home with fresh eyes across six areas throughout your home, your reading space, your writing area, your play spaces, your kitchen, and out and about. You're not looking for what you've done wrong. You're looking for what's already working and where one small, easy change might open up a new literacy moment for your child.

A printable alphabet chart: Not for teaching or testing. A simple, functional reference tool your child can reach for independently when they want to write something and don't want to ask for help.

A resources guide A curated list of the writing materials, resources and types of books I genuinely recommend for building a print rich home organised by type.

You might be wondering...

Is this suitable for my child's age? This course is most relevant for families with children aged 3 to 8, but the principles apply across a much wider range. If you have a child who is anywhere on the journey to becoming an intrinsically motivated reader and writer, this is for you.

Do I need to buy a lot of things? No. Almost everything in the resources guide is something you likely already have, and the course is built around the principle that a working texta and a scrap of paper on the kitchen table is worth more than a beautiful wooden setup that nobody touches.

Is this suitable for an unschooling or relaxed homeschool family? It is designed with exactly that family in mind. Nothing here looks or feels like school.

What if I've already thought about our home environment? Then this will give you language for what you're already doing, and might open up one or two things you hadn't considered yet. That tends to be exactly what families who find me already need.
